Summer Time....When the livin' easy!

Best Friends Forever! Ashton loves to hang out with his cousins and chill in the pool! We went to the Lindon Pool with ship wreck slides and a lazy river and just hangin' out with the whole family. I am so glad that all of these guys are really good friends! Ashton, Maddie & Shelby were going crazy on the slides going on their bellies and going down together and laughing up a storm. This was such a fun time with the gang, but we did get rained out which was such a bummer. I think that I was the one that really did not want to go but everyone else was tired and hungry, so I came to my senses and packed up ha ha!

Mack'ers and Ashton just chillin out at the tree house at the cabin.... this is a boys only tree house so Ashton kicked mommy out!

The good old slip-n-slide we love to set up that and the pool so all the kids can just run wild and get all of their energy out (Yah for Mommy's) Good Times!

Auntie Rachel cam into town and Ashton was soooo excited to have more boys to hang out with. We love it when they come to visit, we miss you Rachel COME BACK!

This was one of the craziest days of my life! See all these kids......ya they were all mine for the day! But don't let me fool you, I really did have a lot of fun, they for sure kept me on my toes the entire time. Abby loves to come when Maddie and Shelby are at my house, and Maddie and Shelby really love it when Abbie is here too, they say it's their bestest friend that is a girl, and Cody is their bestest friend that is a boy :) This was a hard day for Quay though, just moments after this picture he was stung by a wasp, which was awful, TWICE! Poor guy he was such a trooper though, he only cried for 5 min and was done! We had so much fun...lets do it again (maybe) LOL!

Amanda and I laugh so hard because Cody and Ashton fight over who baby Cade belongs too. "My brother, No Mine" They always say! I love it I think that it is the funniest thing ever, and as you can see Cade thinks that it is funny too. We love the Henneman's they are the best1 I don't know what Ashton would do with himself if it weren't for the entertaining Cody that comes over. We enjoy it when he comes over ever morning to play, he is such a good friend. Another funny thing is Ashton will sing Cody's name to the ABC song all the time, what a character :)

I would rather be with Grandma and Grandpa

One of Ashton's favorite things to do is to watch while Grandpa make the fire all of the family! He is the best Grandpa in the world because he will let Ash-man help him put all of the kindling and wood in to get the fire started, the best part is when Grandpa lights the fire and Ashton goes crazy like fans at the U of U game!

Grandpa also informs him that when we light the fire we do not touch the fireplace because it will hurt us! Rick your the best Grandpa because I know that Ashton will always remember stuff like this, and this is why he would rather be with you guys ha ha (seriously)

Grandma is soooooo much fun, Ashton and Grandma always play together and explore new things together and she tell him everything their is to know about everything! He love to sit on Grandma's lap and just hang with her all day long. The funniest and I should say cutest thing though is when Ashton gets hurt he always calls for Grandma.... not Mama, Grandma (because lets face it....she is the best).

Also Ashton really loves to go outside on the porch and see all the potguts and chipmunks and squirrels. He loves Grandma's pet "Squirrely" because she is the only one that will let Ashton and Grandma get close to her (and for a squirrel she is really cute). He will sit on the porch for hours just hanging with Grandma looking for potguts for tater to love :) LOL!

Well Done Thy Good and Faithful Servant!

I felt like writing to kindof vent and say what I feel about my mother. I have been not myself lately, I love my mother and I miss her. A few weeks ago we had the last appointment with her Neurologist Dr Foster, but I did not realize that this was her last appointment. The Doctor was talking to Shelly and I about arrangements with her autopsy and what to expect in the next few months. I know that this was inevitable but it really hit me hard thinking that this year could be the last year. I fell selfish in the fact that I am feeling sorry for myself, but with all of the decisions that shelly and I have had to make the past few weeks and seeing her going through all that she is going through right now is really hard to bear. I can't stand to see her in the state that she is in. I do have some regrets in the fact that I wish I could have taken the opportunity of getting to know her more when I was a teenager and not being so self indulged. I hope that she will not be in pain at all, and I hope that she can feel that I love her so much right now. Sometimes I think that this is so unfair to have the happen to her at such a young age and I feel like she was robbed of alot of things, but I know that there is a reason for everything and that maybe this was Heavenly father's way of not letting her emotionally hurt anymore and letting her enjoy life (sorta) and forget the past.

Mom....I just want you to know that it is such an honor taking care of you and being there for you. You have fought a good fight, and heaven holds a special place for you. I wish that I could do more for you but I want you to know that you are such an amazing person and that I appreciate all that you did for me when I was younger and for all the hard work you did to provide for us. I love you so much and I will miss you when you are gone even though with this disease you have been gone for a while. I do know that I will see you again and you will always be with me. I LOVE YOU!

March 17th we were out enjoying the nice weather.......check it out!

My Brother came into town to see the new addition to the family! He is such an amazing little boy...his name is Wyatt Ryan Burton and he was born on the 15th. I was so excited to be in the delivery room to welcome such an amazing little person, I almost forgot how wonderful that feeling is! Shelly & Ryan I am so proud out you guys, you have such an amazing little family and I am so excited to be apart of that! I love you Shelly you are the best sister!

Mom got to hold the little guy and it made her day! She loves hanging out with all the little kids...and they lover her so much! She could not stop laughing. She is such an amazing women! I love you so much mom!

Right when Ashton saw his new cousin he wanted to hold him.....I have to contain him because he was so excited, but who wouldn't be!


Maddie and Shelby are the best older sisters, and such amazing little mothers!

Every Winter when we go to the cabin there is one house that makes this incredible site. At night they light it up with christmas lights and play christmas music, how cool is that!

Ashton's First Stitches

This was Ashton's first trip to the hospital.....he got a little excited at the church when he saw the piano and ran to play it, sure enough he tripped and fell right on the corner of the bench. Poor Fella! The put some numbing cream on it to stitch it up sure enough that did not numb it so they started stitching and he could feel it which made mom cry :( Good thing we had a really good doctor, he gave him a shot and Ashton was so much better. He had to have six stitches and wear some pretty cool bandages. This is first of many I am sure!

Ashton's Birthday

Ashton had his 1st birthday and man was is fun, all his friends and family were here to support and have fun with him and elmo! I attemped to make the cake for him and I think that it might have turned out o.k, just don't look to closley! He was not shy at all about the cake right when we lit the candle he wanted to dig in right then.......so pursistant! I can't believe that it has already been 1 year, Ashton you are going up so fast! Mom and dad love you so much! Thank Grandma Fairbourn, Grandma & Grandpa McIntosh,Shelly, Maddie, Shelby, McCaden & McKenley for coming, you guys are the best! We love you!

The Fam Update

Hay Ride Time! We went to a farm up in Sandy where we found that they were having hay rides and watching Charlie Brown! We had so much fun especially Ashton! Fall is so much fun!

Here is Mom in her scary Witch costume! She had so much fun dressing up.....Oh whats that on her check....IT's a Spider! Auh! LOL She had so much fun hanging out with all the grandkids and eating some scary looking desserts. LOVE YOU MOM!

It was that time again! Halloween Time! I was so excited we had all the family over for the biggest one we have had yet! Here are some of the decorations that were out for the dessert table......"that rat looks tasty!" We had over 30 people for the party and people had a blast. "Happy Halloween People"

Financial Advising! He loves that job and really enjoys helping people get on the right track with finances, even with this crazy economy he still is helping people complete their goals! Me....... well I am glad you asked, I am working at Waddell & Reed for a financial advisor.... ha ha I know crazy huh? Well That is the update with us!

Here we are have fun @ Texas Roadhouse for my birthday everyone was laughing and having fun. Ashton lolves to clap when the waiters sing happy birthday to someone. What a great day!

Ashton is now 10 months and growing fast!!! He loves to take baths in the sink and splash water all over mom and dad........you crazy kid! He never really talks as much as he screams (ha ha ha) he is a very verbal child that will be a talker when he grows up I know that for sure. Ya Ashton your growing up and looking more like you dad every day!

Ashton is now 7 months old and he is just full of personality! We loves to run in his walker and to talk to all the ladies! :) He loves to give all the ladies kisses and flirts with them all the time.

Ashton went with his Grandma and Grandpa along with daddy to the strawberry days rodeo, which was his first rodeo, and boy did he love it! Thanks to daddy he did have a little bit of a sugar rush from the strawberry smoothie they had, ha ha but that is what hanging out with dad is all about! Lets do it again dad!

Here we are all settled into the "Penthouse suite" we got to stay in up in Park City, man was that a fun night. We walked up and down main street and ate at a steakhouse, but of coarse Ashton was wanting to look around or walk around and talk to people and then we put ashton in to the jet tub he sure had alot of fun, he cried when he had to come out and go to bed. What a blast!

Ashton loves to hang out with people especially his cousins Maddy and Shelby even though they are twice his age he still loves to laugh and play with them, they all love to take pictures and go walking with their mom Shelly and me. Ashton you are such a ladies man and mommy and daddy are so happy you are in our family.

Ashton is now 4 months old and more energetic then ever. He loves to play with his cousins Maddie and Shelby and loves to always walk around an be moving, he really does not like to be sitting still. He has turned over so many times and looks like he wants to start crawling. He gets frustrated if he can move and looks at me with a frown and starts to cry. Ashton loves to play with his puppy tater and loves to talk with people. Clint and I just love to play with him and see his little personality come out. Ashton loves going to both Grandma Fairbourn's and Grandma & Grandpa McIntosh being with all of them makes him happy and he loves to be around family. Aunt Shelly always comes over to play and always makes him happy. Mommy and Daddy love you ashton you are such an amazing little boy so spunky and full of life you always wear us out but I wouldn't have it any other way. We love you!

My mother

Just an update for my mother, she is doing good. She lives at Wentworth of Draper and the people there love her just as much as her own family does. She always talks about her "babies" (grandkids) and how she loves them dearly. She is one of the sweetest women I have ever know and no matter how hard things will get for her she will always be loved by all of us.
